Table Nest Wobble

Last week I put my large egg into my new table. I now have a little wobble with the egg in the table nest. Any ideas how to resolve this?

Nice new table. My guess is that cement "stone" is flat and I'd bet your metal stand is ok as well, so my last guess is the wood under your egg itself needs to settle down and adjust to the heavy weight that is now resting on it. Be patient, grasshopper.Re-gasketing the USA one yard at a time

Nice table, love the pig head opener. I was supposed to get one, but stuff happens. Ron is right. The table has got to settle. Give it time you will be fine."Knowledge is Good" - Emil Faber

I hope so. But the wobble is actually the egg rocking on top of the nest. I can see it move when I put pressure on the handle.Charlotte, NC - Large BGE 2014, Maverick ET 733, Thermopen, Nest, Platesetter, Woo2 and Extender w/Grid, Kick Ash Basket, Pizza Stone, SS Smokeware Cap, Blackstone 36"

I am a simple guy who likes simple solutions. How about shimming it with a dime or some aluminum foil? Would that work?JohnnyTarheel said:I hope so. But the wobble is actually the egg rocking on top of the nest. I can see it move when I put pressure on the handle. -
Then why don't you just go start turning it a bit at a time and see it you find the correct level spot? and then turn it all around.JohnnyTarheel said:I hope so. Sounds like a stand problem. Shim approach would be a first step.Sandy Springs & Dawsonville Ga

This has always been a case of the egg not being centered in the table nest. I've seen this dozens of times. If you get a hand and slightly adjust the egg/tablenest a bit I would bet it goes away. If not I would either shim the nest or use washers to shim the egg. Never had to do this however. Never. Good luck.

I would just set the egg on the rock. Leave the meat out of it. Nice table!Upstate SC

I will definitely try to readjust it on the nest and use the shim if necessary. Thanks for suggestions.Charlotte, NC - Large BGE 2014, Maverick ET 733, Thermopen, Nest, Platesetter, Woo2 and Extender w/Grid, Kick Ash Basket, Pizza Stone, SS Smokeware Cap, Blackstone 36"
