Seasoned up my 28" last night (thanks @Thatgrimguy and @cazzy)
Was dark when I took last pic, but it's a nice dark brown/black. That last round of bacon was definitely the one to seal the deal. The foil on the side was just me not being sure what to expect with the grease run off after reading some complaints about that drip cup.
So two questions now: I plan on keeping it garage, as I've read poor reviews on covers not keeping out the elements. Would you still cover it? I'm planning to buy a cheapo from Lowe's just to keep dust and whatever else floats around from settling on the griddle.
Second. Recipes and cooking tips. Google? Would be nice if there was BGE-like forum for those things.

--Because I'm like ice, buddy. When I don't like you, you've got problems.

fukahwee maineyou can lead a fish to water but you can not make him drink it -
Here is how I cover mine, thanks to @Spring Chicken for the cover support.
Mine is kept under my patio. Be you could treat the cover to help repel water. I would use something food grade. They do fade fast.
