Flat iron steak. Homemade tortillas, homemade salsa verde, and black beans. Pics in Vanilla order. Tortillas need some work. Salsa needs some heat. Not bad for a first try.

Take a bow damn it! Grand slam!

Wow, that looks good. It also looks like a fun cook as well. I think part of what I like most about this whole thing is that it makes prepping and cooking fun instead of just a chore before the meal.

When we come down, I want that.

Guns, baseball and tortillas, that is the way it is done. Father of the year for sure. Got my vote."Knowledge is Good" - Emil Faber

Looks good mate ...
I love good tortillas. Those look good. That's one of the best things about the move ... local tortillas are excellent. Not those puffy ones they sell in the Midwest.

Looks great. I have a bag of Maseca and I have been on the fence about making tortillas. Yours look really good. What were the issues?

@Killit_and_Grillit they were a little undercooked. I was trying to keep them from getting crispy/crumbly. Used real lard, never done that before. Could've used more salt as well.

Great looking fajitas right there. I have never tried making my own tortillas. I did try the Costco tortillas the other night for the first time and they reminded me a lot like the once you would get at restaurant as opposed to the big fluffy/floury ones from a super market.Large and Small BGECentral, IL
