I'm intrigued by the Cajun Fryer by RV works. Anyone out there an avid fryer with experience on dedicated units? Different brands ? Cost vs value?
Thanks all

@Hotch and I both have the RV works cajun fryer. I have the 6 and he has the 4.5 gallon. We both LOVE our fryers. @Hotch is definitely the expert. It's the best fryer you will find for the money (and probably even for a lot more money)XL, Small, Mini & Mini Max Green Egg, Shirley Fab Trailer, 6 gal and 2.5 gal Cajun Fryers, BlueStar 60" Range, 48" Lonestar Grillz Santa Maria, Alto Shaam 1200s, Gozney Dome, Gateway 55g Drum

I have two 8.5 gallon (3 basket) Cajun fryers. I love them!!! They are high but the money you save in oil really adds up quick. You don't have a mess to clean up afterwards either. Turn the fire off and close the lid. If I had anything negative to say it would be that they are noisy. Honestly doesn't bother me but I know others who have complained. And if you want one that works the same but is a little cheaper you can go with the bayou classic version. They work good also but just don't seem as sturdy as the Cajun fryer.

I use my all the time. I have the 4 gal. My best recommendation is go ahead with the 6 gal. and stand. It uses a more standard size basket. Blue handle I think, mine are black.
The 6 gal allows for a few more basket options. I have always wanted a basket press to submerse certain product completely. It basically is just the bottom of a fry basket with the handle. No prob on the 6 gal, not available for the 4 gal. I use the other basket for now. The 6 is a better size for turkeys. R&V offers a Turkey Fry setup. Then there is the best one, The Double Basket!! Good for a Texas size Chicken Fried Steak!! The Bayou Classic is not that great I heard. Very thin metal on both the cooker and stand.
The R&V Cajun is built like a Tank. Get one!!

The quality of the R&V is great. Their people are also great. If you ever need help you can call them direct.
Before you buy the black painted steel model give them a call and ask them about the new aluminum model. Cheaper than the stainless model and lighter.
If money is no option the stainless model is fantadtic.
this place has good online prices as a guide.

Following up on what @Photo Egg said, I updated my thread on my Cajun Fryer. I have the 6 gal aluminum model and am very happy with it. Spend the extra on the Cajun Fryer instead of the Bayou Classic. It's a one-time purchase and you will be much happier with it. It is a very solid unit, whichever size you get. Order direct from R&V or Webstaurant store - Bass Pro rips you off as they charge separately for the stand which is supposed to be included in the price.
Oh, and get the drain hose when ordering - you will need it later and it saves on shipping. Two Large Eggs, 6 gal Cajun Fryer, and a MiniMax in Charlotte, NC - My New Table

If you have an RD near you, the baskets are pretty cheap there. Much cheaper than online sources. Two Large Eggs, 6 gal Cajun Fryer, and a MiniMax in Charlotte, NC - My New Table

Resurrecting this thread for an RV Works question. I have the 4 gallon model and was wondering how you all clean out the very bottom if the vessel? I have been using an electric pressure washer and then wipe dry followed by running the unit until moisture is gone. Final step is to spray it with a light coating of PAM. I bought my father-in-law the Bayou Classic 4 gallon double fryer for his birthday and he loves it.
