@eoin it's a cream-filled spongecake.  I ate a few thousand of them as a child.  I tried them again recently.  they are awful: they don't taste like food at all.

@theyolksonyou That's a great idea! We have a BBQ Brethren Bash coming up and I usually take the deep fryer. I'm thinking soak them in some bourbon. Then drizzle with a bit of Maple Bourbon Chocolate sauce and dust with a shake of powered sugar!

I think you should try a reverse fried twinkie - soak it in fat and fry it in booze.

I guess that sorta happens when drunk people eat the fried ones...  Nevermind.
