Basement?  Here it would be a hole in the ground that fills with water.  We have attics.  All our CHRISTmass gear is up in the attic as of new year's day.

I got all the decorations put away - and then the next day found a couple of coffee mugs in the kitchen.  Of course the box they belong in is on the bottom of the stack!

In cooking, often we implement steps for which we have no explanations other than ‘that’s what everybody else does’ or ‘that’s what I have been told.’  Dare to think for yourself.

I am the bad one with lights at our house. I usually get 5-10 new boxes of lights every year. This was this years outdoor lights didn't go to the 2nd story since I'm not a fan of heights and wifey was pregnant.

I am LITERALLY reframing the attic (ceiling joists) to accommodate the wife's Xmas decorations

House is pushing 100yrs old. 2x6 celing joists at 24" o/c.

Horsehair plaster ceilings can't handle fifty bins of stuff.
I guess living down in the tropics you don't need insulation?

I have ~10 boxes of stuff that need to get finished packing by "The Boss" before I can get the rest in Attic and bring down the next holiday.

Just Vote- What if you could choose "none of the above" on an election ballot? Millions of Americans do just that, in effect, by not voting.  The result in 2016: "Nobody" won more counties, more states, and more electoral votes than either candidate for president.
