I'm a lucky girl!!! Time to celebrate!

I just got back from a 10-day trip with my daughter.  It was part soccer college recruiting trip, part Disney World fun.
I got home and The Man said he had a surprise waiting to show me the next day.  (miserable *twice* diverted flight home)
Anyway, I finally drug myself out of bed and he has started building me us a BGE table!!  I'm a lefty so wanted landing space on the left side vs all of the tables we've seen have the space to the right.  He built us one with the Egg in the middle and is making the right side wood that can be changed to a sink later on.  Granite on my side for prepping and landing.

Oh, a few days before I left, he proposed and I said yes.  I think he's a keeper!!  I promise I'll post pics when he's done!

On top of all of that, I finished my masters' in nursing a few weeks ago, too!
I have a LOT of celebrating to do!!

Sounds great, btw, if you turn a right hand table around it becomes a left hand table. Magic! Enjoy the new digs.

I wanted one with drawers / doors on it.  We don't have much storage outside so wanted a place to hide all the lump and accessories.

Congrats all around. From the planned Marriage to the new table and for the upcoming college sports experience with your Daughter!

I coach HS volleyball and have just gone thru this process with my Niece. She is currently a Senior and has accepted a scholarship to play outside hitter for Rider(NCAA Division 1) next year. She was recently named 2nd team All America. She left soccer to pursue volleyball her Freshman year.

Ah. Very good idea. Storage is a must for the Egger. Look forward to the money shots.

That's awesome!  Congrats to your niece!  My dd is a junior and this is the year to get recruited.  We went to a showcase event in Orlando and she scored TWO goals off of corner kicks (2 diff games) in front of a few college coaches.  None of her "top" schools but 2 or 3 that are on her radar at least.  She's only 4'10" so it was pretty impressive to see her score like that.  She's going to an ID camp this weekend and a few more later this spring but it is exhausting!  And expensive!

This is the stories I love to read.
Congrats to you for the safe return of a wonderful trip with your daughter, and the soccer recruitment, the wise fellow that proposed and is making a table built for two, and the wonderful start for 2017.
This is the most spectacular way to move forward in life. I would wish you the best of luck, but as it seems, you have been blessed by the truckloads. So instead, I wish you great health, and many laughs on your Journey together, going forward.
Very happy for you, the very wise man, and the athlete daughter you love so much.

I have a Freshman DD- we are just starting the fun.  Lots of TX College Showcases this year, Vegas and Orlando in the coming years, as well as ID camps.
XLBGE, LBGECharbroil Gas Grill, Weber Q2000, Old Weber Kettle, Rectec RT-B380, Yeti 65, Yeti Hopper 20, RTIC 20, RTIC 20 Soft Side - Too many drinkware vessels to mention.

Not quite in Austin, TX City Limits
Just Vote- What if you could choose "none of the above" on an election ballot? Millions of Americans do just that, in effect, by not voting.  The result in 2016: "Nobody" won more counties, more states, and more electoral votes than either candidate for president.

Nursing w a focus on acute / critical care.  I've been an ER / trauma nurse for years and just ready to make a few changes.  I'm not 25 anymore and those twelve hour shifts aren't as easy as it as fun as they used to be.  I will sit for a board exam in a few weeks to be a nurse practitioner and then we will see where that takes me.

I know them feels. I'm tall, and noticed that effect working with other nurses who were typically more than a head shorter than me. Once my back started barking I moved into clinical coordination.
