Hardcore Carnivore Rub Reverse-Seared Filet

Tried out some hardcore carnivore rub tonight with some reverse seared filet's we absolutely loved the results. Had great flavor and loved the crust it helped give with the cast iron. I definitely recommend it if you haven't tried it out.

Started out with a rough start I didn't get my cover on after my last cook the other night, it snowed obviously and my egg was frozen shut.

Taken out at internal temp of 110 for me and 115 for her to rest.

1 minute sear on each side

  • Looks killer. Great cook.

PSA. My buddy had his egg that close to the house a few months ago and shut it down and went to bed and about 2am woke up to flames running up his walls. He has about $15k in fire restoration. Got lucky and got it out before the siding really got going.

Probably not not an issue tonight with all that snow but just thought I'd let ya know.

I feel like the pic might be a little deceiving in how close it is to the house. I do appreciate the heads up but I store it closer to the house than I let it run by the house. At my in laws their gas grill melted some of their siding so I try to be careful to not let my egg get close enough to even warm the siding up.

    Appreciate the concern.
