Culinary question: Butter a pan before scrambling eggs? What's that smell?

I use bacon grease to make scrambled eggs.

dont forget to spoon the grease over the overeasys, those black bacon bits scraped up in the pan and grease are gold. theres just something wrong with those pure white ihop eggs

I totally agree. That was my recommendation to her. Eggs taste awesome in bacon grease. These are some fantastic informational comments here.

Yep. Gotta dry it. 

You use chips or chunks with that? Do you soak the chips/ chunks? Does the egg change the color of said carpet? Nice bark? Tell us more please....

Kerry Gold fan as well. Have mixed the Kerry Gold with evoo and noticed a just off smell but went on. What is a non-grass premium butter?

Central market European butter. They sell at most HEB.
