Chili, in the style of Reagan's Press Secretary

One of the guys who cooks for my veterans group shared Jim Brady's chili recipe (for us youngins that was the guy who caught a 22 round in Reagans attempted assasination back in the day). 

I took a stab stab at it tonight. I backed off the heat from the request of my wife (to our dismay) but it was solid. I usually do beans in my chili but this was a great change of pace.

OK, so did I miss it? What was it you like about Mr Brady's recipe? Your's looks just fine, a cold week coming up and I have some stew beef in need of attention, thanks for the inspiration. When you get a chance post the details.

I did it tonight's with just a 3 1/2 lb chuck but I have had it with the pork and round and both are solid.

Thanks, can never have too many chili recipes, even them without the beans.

@theyolksonyou I said the same thing. But it added a nice different salty element (mine called for green but black was all I had)
