There are occasionally discount codes.  There was one on Black Friday for cookbooks.   They are few ad far between.

Yeah - codes are for specific items. You often see some retailers list codes in the product description (e.g., buy 3 of these and use code BUY3 for 25% off). Sometimes you get a code such as "$10 off if you pay with Discover and use code DISCOVER10". There aren't sitewide codes like most other sites. Wish there were.
