PSA/FYI - Cuisinart Food Processor Blade Recall!

If you have a Cuisinart food processor you need to check and see if it is part of the blade recall.
I did and it was. Seems they have had some that come apart!

I tried for two days to call the hotline number for a replacement and couldn't get through. Went to cusinart.com/recall and did it on line.  Received email that it will be "awhile" getting production of new blade ramped up and that you could use other cutting attachments. If need be, I will use old blade and check to make sure it is still in one piece before consuming anything that has been processed.

Funny thing is I had a small Cuisinart that had a blade hub Crack but it's not on the list of recalled models. This one did not have rivets but was molded plastic. Replaced it last Christmas though.

I put my claim in around the end of December and I'm still waiting for the replacement blade.

I got mine yesterday, 6 months after sending in for it. It's definitely rivet free.

My blade came apart and went through the container and almost got my hand last fall. I was making blueberry glaze for chicken. 

Totally this model. But I missed this post.
