Meh, wife and I don't do presents. We just buy stuff for ourselves and each other through out the year. People say we are scrooges, but we just don't see the point or care.

We've donated to charity every year we've been together in lieu of exchanging gifts. Takes a lot of stress out of trying to find the perfect gift.

Treated us to a Perfect Blend scale from Vitamix. https://www.vitamix.com/Shop/Perfect-Blend-Smart-Scale It's neat, you just put your container on the scale, zero out the weight, pull up the recipe on your device and it measures your ingredients for you and beeps when you have added enough and goes to the next ingredient. No measuring cups or spoons. Works with any container. As a bonus, you can also download the app for Perfect Bake and Perfect Drink. So far, hubby loves the Perfect Drink app. It's like having your own bar tender and all of the recipes are adjustable by number of serving in any of the apps. You can even add your own recipes. We also buy what we want anytime of year. Bought a few of eggcessories during Black Friday. SS Kick Ash Basket, MK4 Thermopen and a few others. Yep, I'm a gadget freak.

The Mrs and I had the basement renovated. Got a couple of small things to make the bottom of the tree not look so barren, but we've gone with house stuff or experiences last couple of years.

Getting the kid in on it too, we took her to a show on Broadway for Christmas, and for her last birthday she got to hang out with the penguins at Baltimore Zoo for 45 minutes.

My family started doing this about 10 years ago, totally changed the holiday season for the better (we have no young'uns about).
Just be careful about how loud you are about it, or the Walmart family heirs will have you assassinated.

Got a similar scale (that also does baker's percentages) when I went through my "pizza phase". Very sweet to work with!
I also use mine to weigh/print out (with a computer) postage for odd-sized packages, saves a trip to the Post Office.

Yep, @Botch, we're enjoying this one. I believe in making everything easier. That Perfect Drink is fantastic. You can even put your inventory in the "cabinet" and it will suggest drinks for you. Now every time we do a "hooch" run, we keep adding neat ingredients suggested by your cabinet. Needed that like a hole in the head.
