So, my wife and I buy our own gifts or tell the other what to get.  I got this the other day.  Garmin side scanning sonar echoMap 73sv (fish finder+GPS) for the boat. Doesn't just look down, it looks hundreds of feet off to the sides.  How about you.... what did you / will you buy for yourself??
Richmond and Mathews County, VA. Large BGE, Weber gas, little Weber charcoal. Vintage ManGrates. Little reddish portable kamado that shall remain nameless here.  Very Extremely Stable Genius.

Just bought myself a 65" 4k tv and an X Box one S.

Can't wait for 2016 to be over.  It was definitely the year of spending:

    New roof on house.
    New Furnace and A/C unit.
    Siding/shutters/gutters/soffit/trim

Hopefully done with the big expenditures and can get back to saving for a few years.  Although I do have a tree in the front that needs to be taken down.  So it'll be time to start planning and budgeting for it shortly.

    Nicely done.

Work bonus is phase one of kitchen refresh, countertops, Franke SS farmer sink, flexible commercial spray faucet, Bosch cooktop.

Me and a buddy are doing it beginning of the year.  Looking forward to the much needed upgrades.

I just got done with all my paperwork, gunsmithing, and mods. I think I'll take it to the range on the 26th when I take some of the guys to get out of the house after Christmas.
That looks like a whole lotta fun!  Option#2 of bonus  would have been a custom vickers sling, Phase 5 extended bolt release, KNS anti-rotation pins, etc, etc.  The "small" stuff that adds up.

Beautiful take on your Remington.  B)

A just completed road trip to visit old friends in Texas coupled with a two day brisket food coma experience in Austin.  Even managed an audience with the Pope (Aaron Franklin).  Now I know the target for great brisket-I may never hit it but at least I have the objective in sight.

Nice. I was driving through Texas last week on a hunting trip and we rushed but we couldn't get to Franklins until 2:30 with a detour so everyone else voted no.

There are couple of other brisket stops that are right there with Franklin's; La Barbeque and Valentina's, no wait at either place in the event you are successful next year.

La BBQ has always had a wait when I've been and was sold out one time I went. Valentina's 10/10 over them too.

Other than Franklin's it has to be random at least this time of year.  I hit La BBQ 10 minutes prior to it opening on a Thurs AM and was the first one in line.    No wait at Valentinas at around 1 PM on a Tuesday...And every stop was friggin great.  Will have to do it again some day.

Great looking area. That is some really fine tequila you have here. Try the silver in the clear bottle next time. It's really good as well.
