Anyone ever order from here? I somehow got on their mailing list. Amazing selection, but I need a second job to afford anything. How about an 11 pound, Japanese Wagyu (A-5 Grade) Ribeye Roast for $900 (On Sale). And the Mangelica Ham on a stand is cool.

Yeah I've ground up a few A5's for burgers. Good stuff.

My local Wegmans carries some of their "low-end" stuff, so I'll get duck or boar from time to time.
ETA: forgot to say, I always enjoy it. -
They have a very good reputation. But what I can usually afford is something like the tub of their duck fat.
As hams of that kind go, its a good price. La Quercia's Berkshire ham, Iowa raised, goes for just a little less.

I think it's hilarious that a forum that has constantly extols the virtue of $1000 grills and meat from SRF is complaining about how expensive something is.

That's actually a GREAT price on the Japanese A-5. I've been thrilled when I've been able to buy it for $100/lb. I would consider it, but I have a decent amount in the freezer that I need to eat.
(FWIW, you don't normally cook this meat anything like traditional steaks or roast.)Dallas (University Park), Texas -

If you can find some, get some Ossabaw too. They get even fatter, but run real fast. You'd have 2 versions of 24 carat worth pig.The Cen-Tex Smoker said:I happen to have a few Mangalitsa hogs in the pasture right now...Hmm
