Anyone order one of these? Just received my order.  Can't wait to try it out.

You can still order it with a free BBQ Dragon: https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/the-chimney-of-insanity

No affiliation with the company - just a fan (pun intended).

Don't have that, but I'm a big fan of the dragon.

That looks pretty interesting. I have the dragon and I really like it as well.  I think you might find that is really handy for the mini max.  You could use your large egg to light it, and dump a 1/2 chimney or so of burning lump in the mini-max. I bet you could go from walking outside to cooking in 5 minutes.

Which came first the chicken or the egg?  I egged the chicken and then I ate his leg.

Looks fine, but I find it kinda funny how much time is spent discussing how to light charcoal - no disrespect to @hofstrajet who started the thread.

I've got oiled paper towels, starter cubes, a chimney, and a weed burner outside.  I use them all - they all work.  If you told me I had to pick one, it simply wouldn't matter much.

I'm with you.  I have received all the toys as gifts over the years, and they all light the lump on fire.  Personally I like the starter cubes the best.  That's just me though.

Meh. Color me underwhelmed. If you like using a chimney, and can't wait for it to light your charcoal, then maybe you should switch to a gasser.

And to that that guy in the video who claims its a million times better than his current chimney... he must be using a filled fire extinguisher to start his charcoal.

I've always felt lighter fluid was the best =). I like the taste it imparts in all of my food.  1 added benefit, it soaks into the ceramics to help keep them clean.  LOL.

Maverick propane fire starter.  NOT the one true way.  There, I just saved everyone $30, Merry Christmas, Happy Hannukah, etc
