We need to replace our old gasser...this would work great! But no grid, only a flat top surface? How does that work for everyone? I am used to grids...thoughts?

You really can not compare griddle, flat top cooking, to grilling.evie1370 said:We need to replace our old gasser...this would work great! But no grid, only a flat top surface? How does that work for everyone? I am used to grids...thoughts?
2 completely different cooking methods and another skill to learn.
But you can remove the griddle top and buy a "grill top" for the Blackstone.
I think it would make a mess as I'm not sure it would have a true bottom to catch drippings.Thank you,DarianGalveston Texas -
thanks @photo Egg. I will speak to the spouse. This would be a much better replacement for my old gasser. The hitch may be the room needed on the deck. Oh, and our wallets. But a great price!

They are matching Target which has it for $264 - 15%.
If you are subject to sales tax at Amazon, consider buying at Target where you can get an extra 5% off using the Red Card.
Target also has the 36" stainless steel model for $300 - 15% - 5% Red Card.

Not to try to talk you out of the Blackstone (which I am sure is a fine product) but to get a grill surface for it is extra as someone else mentioned. I think it runs about $100 or thereabouts. As an alternative, there is the Camp Chef Flat Top which is only slightly smaller in griddle surface but comes with grill grates so you do not have to buy them extra. The CC also has individually igniting burners and the igniters do not require a battery. Just something you may want to consider. I have the CC and griddle cooking is great.evie1370 said:We need to replace our old gasser...this would work great! But no grid, only a flat top surface? How does that work for everyone?
