We live near Peoria, IL - a community of 120k within a SMSA of 300k. Several large grocery chains are present so price and service competition is name of the game. Today my wife went shopping at our large Kroger store for ingredients for TGD. Shelves and bins were noticeably barren. She had to buy a can of pumpkin pie mix…

@herbu - unfortunately no sneaking here- I get the cold dose of reality with about every movement. Took advantage of the climate change weather yesterday (high 70's) and effectively took care of the outside jobs (save gravity and leaves) for the season. Last night I was frequently reminded of the error of my ways. Getting old is not for sissies. FWIW-

Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. Life is too short for light/lite beer! Seems I'm livin in a transitional period. CHEETO (aka Agent Orange) makes Nixon look like a saint.
