With all the gourmet level meals and incredible creations posted on here, I almost decided to not bother with this one. But hey, why not? Part of the fun of this egging thing is having fun, then enjoying the results of that fun. Tonight I grilled some chicken thighs with a coffee rub, and some Boar's Head wieners. Then I made beans and wieners with some pork and beans, brown sugar, ketchup and the previously grilled wieners.
So, it was fun and tasty...simple and amateurish, but I enjoyed it and that is what counts.

I have already come to the conclusion that I will always be the more basic of cooks. Never good at presentation. Never going to be good at knowing what will mix well with what to make a good rub, etc. So this plate to me, looks exactly like something I would cook, put on my table, and post on this forum....and be damn proud!
Nice looking grub there!Just bought an Egg? Here is what you get to look forward to now:
Plate Setter, FlameBoss 200, Spider, PSWOO-CI, Additional Rig Shelf for dome cooking, Thermapen, iGrill2, Cast Iron, Blackstone, Cooking Accessories for the Blackstone, Cover for the Egg and the Blackstone, shopping for Rub like a fine wine or IPA, and a new fascination with lump and what brand is the best-all to be debated every Friday Night. Next desires-Joetisceriie, Adjustable Rig, Grillmates, table and more eggs

I got done with a shoulder last week we were shredding and throwing in the freezer for easy week night eats.
I realized I needed lunch so I kicked the vents opened, threw a can of soup on and popped the lid.
And it was on point. No shame."Brought to you by bourbon, bacon, and a series of questionable life decisions."

I personally think it is a great combo! My mother, God rest her sole, made that quite often when I was a kid. The wife and I make it off and on now or we kick it up with some Spam on top and back it. I guess I will have to try doing it indirect on the BGE with some smoke thrown in for good measure. Nothing wrong with cooking the things you loved as a kid and still do today.

You had me at coffee rubbed chicken thighs. Hot dogs and beans also good. I'm glad you decided to share this.Stillwater, MN
