Love it. Super jealous. Looking to renovate the deck sooner or later and I think I've got the mrs molar convinced to do a outdoor kitchen with the egg built in. Till then I'll hall my Tupperware from the garage every cook.ATL

Got some new pictures today. The BGE will go in the corner on a pedestal of some sort. The left side will be smoking wood bins. On the right will be a drawer for tools, a shelf and lump storage. The left side will have a sliding half-door and the right side will have a door.

Looks fantastic. Love the idea. Can't wait to see the finished pics.
Side note: How the hell are you going to move that from his work space to your home?

It's actually built in such a way that it comes apart into two pieces. So transportation will be done in a few trips with the pickup. The top will be attached on site. It's still going to be a beast to move. Good thing I've got some help to carry it!YEMTrey said:Looks fantastic. Love the idea. Can't wait to see the finished pics.

Looks like it will be a great table. I like the reclaimed wood and tin. Your father in law is a very smart man.... You will have to feed him for a long time!!!

Here's a couple more pics. The bins are going in. Bins are built with pressure treated plywood and will be faced with barn wood.

I might need your FIL's number. I am looking at doing a corner table very similar to this one. My grandfather was a Kentucky Colonel due to his work in conservation. The barn-wood is right up my alley!!!!!!

It's been a while since any work has been done due to hunting season. Here's a few new photos that show the cabinet and sliding doors ready for hardware. The sliding door will be functional using hand-made hardware like a barn door slider. It will only cover two rows of the bins but I think it will help make it look better.

Wow just wow.

This is great! It looks like it's themed after an old, hole-in-the-wall BBQ joint. The real deal.

Got the hardware for the drawer and door done today. I'm fabricating the sliding door hardware this weekend since I couldn't find anything that would work for the small door, everything I found was just too big. Thanks for the great comments!

Getting real close now! Just need the handle on the sliding door and stain for the top. Also, a small amount of flooring will be installed to the left and right of where the BGE will sit on a yet to be determined pedestal of some sort.
The top is just laying on the base and has not been glued & screwed. That will happen once everything has been transported. Base and top easily separates into two pieces.
