A couple months ago I mentioned I might tile my table top... well this past weekend my FIL and I got er done. Pretty happy with the results...

I need to tile my table top. I have Trex on the top and it's a real pain to keep clean, -
what kind of adhesive did you use for the tiles? Im going to build a table but don't want the tiles to pop up around the Egg from the heat transfer.
Also, how did you get the clean circle cut on the tiles?

@EggHeadinFlorida I didn't use anything special for the tile adhesive just whatever was recommended at the tile store. The circle cut out turned out pretty good. We individually cut them using a tile wet saw. Just kinda nibbled away at each one. Good luck with yours.

Very nice. I used cement board (Rhyno) under my tiles - but given the lack of heavy frost in my area, plywood would have done just fine.Delta B.C. - Whiskey and steak, because no good story ever started with someone having a salad!

@RRP I used 3/4 inch plywood and then attached cement board onto the plywood.
