Anniversary Dinner
My wife and I hit our 8 year anniversary this coming Sunday and celebrated with the kids. We will go to a dinner with just the two of us as well. I ordered a set of lobsters, that arrived alive, lobstergram is the company and a cowboy steak, prime from SRF.
My wife and son ate the lobster and my daughter's and I enjoyed the steak, which I will be ordering again.
I didn't cook the lobster, but it was boiled and served with flavored clarified butter.
I seared and basted the steak in butter, red wine, and rosemary for 4 minutes a side and threw it in the oven until 130°F. I didn't have time to fire up the egg.
Anyhow, here are the pictures.

Happy Anniversary my friend. I wish y'all many, many more.
On a seperate note, as you are well aware, lobster of any kind automatically earns the SOP. With that said, the steak looks so good that this cooks earns and gets the double seal my friend.

The meal looks perfect. IMHO that's the best way to sear a quality steak. Happy Anniversary to you both.LBGE 2013 & MM 2014Die Hard HUSKER & BRONCO FANFlying Low & Slow in "Da Burg" FL

Truthfully, @NPHuskerFL I bought that skillet because cast iron was mentioned so frequently on the forum, so I grabbed it. I have since inherited a few smaller sizes from my wife's grandmother and now CI pans are by far the most used pans in our house.
