Every year, once the weather cools a bit and we hit October me and a buddy always have our fall wine day! We pull out some special bottles from the cellar. Today is that day. Enjoying watching the Ryder Cup and looking forward to some football and filets later! Hope everyone is enjoying thier Saturday!
1st bottle = 2008 Rochioli West Block, polishing it off now. Phenomenal Pinot noir
2nd bottle = 2007 Dominus, meritage blend from California 
3rd bottle = 2005 Certan De May, Bordeaux from Pomerol

    it's posts like this that make it soooooo hard to be a working man on Saturday's!!!!!  Very nice selection there!  I am particularly partial to the 2007...you will have to let me know how that one goes down!!!  At least I have my Sunday tomorrow to enjoy....then I am going to post a bunch of stuff like this on Wednesday when you guys are all at work!  LOL

    Couple of hours for both of the big boys. They were drinking incredibly well!

    @Gman2 and anyone else with Dominus ... if possible, I recommend seeking out one that's 20+ years old, or laying some down. After that length of time they take on secondary characteristics that make the wine en par with great aged Bordeaux. The 1992 in particular is now drinking very well. I've run out of 1987s.

    Napanook is also worth considering, and it drinks younger. Not in the same league as Dominus in terms of quality, but also not in terms of price. :)
