  • Only downside I can see with this is that the juices that would normally going into a drip pan for jus go onto the coals. I wonder if a spider and drip pan could be set up beneath the rotating arm to catch the juices, or if that would be counter-productive in terms of cooking. And also whether the juices would evaporate with the direct heat.

    @Stormbringer--sorry missed this.  Have been traveling for the past couple of weeks. The seal is fine.  Closes up nicely.  Have had no issues translating recipes from oven/grill to the joe.  It's really a nice addition to the too many toys.  
    BGE Large and MiniMax, Napolean 500.  Obsessed with rotisserie.

    Just bought a new gas grill to replace my old, old weber genesis and it has a rotisserie and a charcoal basket.  It heats up fast so for the winters, it's a good thing.  Hope u r great.  Xo

    Thanks @eggnewtoy, we are doing great. Our winters are not a problem, it's the summers that get us, lol. The temps have been record setting highs for months and I can't take the heat like I used to. Cool weather, I'm there for longer cooks like a Joetisserie spin session. Planning one this weekend.
