Is a pork blade shoulder steak the same as a pork steak?

I didn't make it to Costco today. Looking for 'pork steaks' in the context of sliced butt. Publix had 'Pork Shoulder Blade Steak' -- it sounds like it's in the right general area and I bought a few. Is this the same cut as a 'Pork Steak', or is it an adjacent neighborhood on the beast?

Yep. I'd say that's sliced butt based off of the bone.

Yes that's what they use in Missouri

No matter the name used to describe them, true pork "steaks" come from only one place, the front, upper shoulders. While you certainly can "steak out" about any primal if you so chose, this will not be the case for store bought meat unless you directly request and pay for the service.

They're labeled Shoulder Blade. Isn't that the upper shoulder, or is the distinction how they're cut?

If its a pork butt roast sliced into steaks, you got yourself a pork steak. That looks like a center cut pork steak to me.
