Measure them before you buy. I have watched several people on the kamadoguru forum buy pit boss kamados only to find out the measurement  they are referring to the outer diameter, not the inner diameter of the ceramic shell.

Was scoping it out for my father in law, says they are not sold in stores so it appears they are all being shipped for that price...

Looks as though you cannot avoid the $60 handling fee, my SAMs club has a better deal on a vision kamado grill which I assume is equal quality, sold for $499, last year was discounted to $399 this time of year.

Bummer.  If it was 7 years it would be a good deal, for 1 year a person might consider a used BGE.

Warranty is lifetime on ceramics, and 5 years on metal

CONDITIONS OF WARRANTY
The Kamado series by Pit Boss Grills, manufactured by Dansons Inc., carries a Limited Lifetime Warranty from the date of sale by the original owner only. The warranty coverage begins on the original date of purchase and proof of date of purchase, or copy of original bill of sale, is required to validate the warranty. 

EXEMPTIONS OF LIMITED LIFETIME WARRANTY
This warranty is based on normal and domestic use and service of the product. Damages or breakage caused by accidents, natural disasters, unauthorized attachments or modifications, or damage during transport are also not covered. Warranty does not cover damage from wear and tear, such as scratches, dents, dings, chips or minor cosmetic cracks. These aesthetic changes of the grill do not affect its performance. This limited lifetime warranty gives you specific legal rights and you may have other rights, which vary based on locale. Neither the manufacturer nor the suppliers to the purchaser accept responsibility, legal or otherwise, for the incidental or consequential damage to the property or persons resulting from the use of this product. This warranty will not apply if your appliance has not been installed, operated, cleaned and maintained in strict accordance with the manual’s instructions. Burning poor or low-quality charcoal may void the warranty. All warranties by manufacturer are set forth herein and no claim shall be made against manufacturer on any oral warranty or representation. Whether a claim is made against the manufacturer based on the breach of this warranty or any other type of warranty expressed or implied by law, manufacturer shall in no event be liable for any special, indirect, consequential or other damages of any nature whatsoever in excess of the original purchase price of this product. Some locales do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, or limitations of implied warranties, so the limitations or exclusions set forth in this warranty may not apply to you. Pretty sure @DMW has it right above for warranty, Pit Boss markets pellet stoves and had a hand in some airtight wood stoves before they offshore sourced their kamado line.  
Have seen their kamado at Crappy Tire (Canadian Tire) and even my local Rona (that will change as Rona has been bought by Lowe's and I'm betting Kamado Joe's will be showing up). Prices in $Canadian are about the same as in $US and with the Loonie as low as it is ($0.76US) this is a good buy. 

EDIT - forgot to mention, the warranty appears to look a lot like Primo's.

I bought the 24", had been holding out for a BGE but couldn't resist at this time, ordering a spider, 2 half stones, drip pan, and pizza stone for ceramic grill store and a PartyQ with adapter from DigiQ
