They're are several moonshine places up there now too. Haven't been, but they often have live music. Some folks I know have
    enjoyed it

You know you can make this at home!
I hear all that copper is expensive.
Plus a hundred pounds of yeast. Imagine opening all those tiny packets.

  • If you have a few hours to kill and your cabin gives you coupons for local attractions, check out the Dixie Stampede dinner show.  Normally they'll give you free or severely discounted tickets.

Hot chicks on horses and a dinner w/ big portions....

If you're into that kind of thing.

See if you can snag a non-resort reservation at one of the Blackberry Farm restaurants and make the 2 hour round trip drive.

If Blackberry Farm, make sure your credit card has lots of room.  Not inexpensive.

Once you pull off of 40 and start entering Sevierville, grab yourself a case of Krystals (w/cheese).  This IS Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg after all, not Savannah.
Enjoy taking part of the Redneck Rampage and hit Sonic, Fuddruckers, Baskin Robbins, Texas Roadhouse.  When in Rome..........

Before anybody gets upset, let me clarify:  I've eaten at everyone of those establishments I listed on trips to the Smokey's.   As well as I really enjoy hanging at the Smokey Mtn Brewery with my Dad watching football while the ladies shop.

There is a lodge outlet store on the way in.  I've stopped there several times. Be sure to head to the back of the store where the "seconds" are sold.

We'll be making our annual trip this November.

    Cheers!
