So we've got us a camping spot booked for the Beaufort/ Savannah area this weekend. Well did... This one looks like it might have legs. Y'all in the path be careful. I've seen these things take shape and turn ugly quickly.

Not sure I'd want to spend the weekend in a camper during that. Time you got set up, you'd want to tear down, but you may be too tired.

That could be really ugly @Jeremiah. You know where I am located, and they are projecting 5" of rain and 30 mph winds for us.  Nothing too dramatic, but a little more than we are used to. So much for Football Friday Night!

I was headed to Jekyl /Tybee but that's been nixed. I've been in much worse storms, and don't want to do it again!  I think that a different weekend would be a better idea, or better yet, mountains this weekend and the beach in a week or two!

And FYI- college football practice in a tropical storm SUCKS!!!!!

Yeah I'm really hoping this thing speeds up and runs through quickly. If so it should be gone by Saturday morning. @northGAcock I believe the park is called lake jasper rv park.

It's really hanging on by a thread. Very poor structural definition and it'll likely break up once it hits landfall.   Hopefully it doesn't just hover. We need rain so this weak system is being welcomed in. That said residents in the tracking path should be prepared for the worst and hope for the best.

Funny I was watching weather channel videos on my phone this morning, one of the ads was regarding home emergency survival kits... My first thought was I was nearly out of beer.

Early day. What should I do?

Starting with some spuds. Little avocado oil and fresh ground Himalayan Pink Salt. And then some thick cut bone-in Ribeyes.

What are the feet on your MM? I have been looking for something other than the little sleeves that come on them.

It's not the rain, or wind you guys have to worry about, it's those 'squiggle tails' that drop from the sky when you least expect it.  And it doesn't have to be a big hurricane to produce those.  Be alert for those too.  Good luck.
