Poultry equivalent of SRF

hadnt heard of SRF before this forum, now I have a freezer full on the way... Curious if there's an equivalent provider of poultry at this high quality level?  Thanks!

and fwiw the quality and creativity of cooks posted on this forum are remarkable!  Inspiring and intimidating at the same time!

I don't know about poultry, fact is I don't think SRF carries any. But if your looking for another supplier of beef that is worthy of being mentioned in the same breath as SRF, take a look at Brandt Beef, located in So. California (next to Disneyland)

Hard to find but its fairly available in LA/Las Vegas corridor but Jidori chicken is the "wagyu" of yardbird. It is special for sure. I've had it a few times and it's awesome. Drago Centro in downtown LA has it and Kumi at MandalyBay has it as well. I'm sure lots of places out there have it but I've had it at both (Kumi several times)

I haven't pulled the trigger on these yet, but I have heard they are excellent and will remind you what chicken used to taste like.  I struggle with paying over $10 a pound for chicken, no matter how good.

Check your local Farmers Market if you have one, for Heritage chickens. At my Market, I can get chickens that make chicken soup just like I remember my Grandmothers tasting.

Local heritage is best.  I'm not aware of any Waygu chickens

:-) LOL, thanks @DoubleEgger!   Both D'Artagnan and good shepherd look interesting.  I'll check out the Amish farmer's market; I've had good luck with beef and pork there (although every bit as expensive as SRF)  thanks everuo0pne and Happy weekend egging!

Those heritage birds are incredible, super expensive, but it's like a different meat versus commodity chicken.
