Are the Corn Bees Bad Where You Live?

These things are more of a bother than anything.  How are they where you live?

Is that the bee that doesn't sting?  If so, I had never heard of them until last year hunting.  They were all in my stand and I thought I was going to have to get down and my buddy told they were some kind bee without a stinger.  Maybe he was yanking my chain.

No site of them at my house in South Carolina.

Ok. So that's not a bee, wasp,or any other member of the hyphenaptera order 
Those are syrphid flies. Yep flies. Not bees, sweat bees or whatever regional name you may have. 
Don't' sting. Not bees.

Yellow flies , Deer Flies....they bite down here in the swamp :-)

Have you seen the book by the guy who let himself get stung by all kinds of different insects and describes them?  Crazy.

No but we are having a huge yellow jacket problem around here, overtime i get rid of a nest on my deck (under the umbrella, then 2 on the under side of the table) they keep building another.

I just took out two football sized nests from under our deck.  Stung three times last week while mowing at our cabin (ground nests)  am getting real tired  of these little fella's...
