@Dyal_SC it was really good. The carrots didn't bring much to the party, but I didn't have any fresh ginger, so used ginger powder. The asparagus was good, first time I've deep fried, will do that again.

Very creative- if looking for more ideas, you've gotta head to the KY State Fair in a few weeks if you want to see some "out-there" frying recipes. And no, asparagus won't be there...

Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. Life is too short for light/lite beer! Seems I'm livin in a transitional period. CHEETO (aka Agent Orange) makes Nixon look like a saint. -

@Mattman3969 I used one habanero in the brine and it wasn't very warm , wouldn't hesitate to used more pepper.

Looks scrumptious! You think the fresh ginger would have helped?------------------------------

@tarheelmatt not sure, but the Carole's weren't good for much more than texture. Maybe the ginger brings some flavor?
-
I think it would more so than the powder, but who am I . However, it's a texture thing too, for the crunch.
Regardless it looks good and you've inspired me here.------------------------------
