Anyone try the scallops in the freezer section at Costco? Talk about being at the end of the supply line, here in Kentucky, there is not a lot to work with.
Thank you for posting."Knowledge is Good" - Emil Faber

They were day boat dry scallops so no gross liquid goo coating! I took the soaked cedar out of the water, heated it for a few min on one side and flipped and set scallops on top. 20 min at 400 direct. They take on the flavor of the wood quite a bit so you can change the flavor profile by switching the type of plank. Would probably be good added to some pasta too.I think the biggest thing is having quality scallops. These are $25 / lb but 8 large scallops was just over a half pound....well worth it.

I would've lost half those shrimp to the lump Gods below

Good looking seafood...I picked up some skewers at Crate & Barrel relatively inexpensive....about a foot long.

Very, very nice.--Because I'm like ice, buddy. When I don't like you, you've got problems.
