Coffee grinders

My Beautiful Wife has told me we (I) are in the market, again, for a coffee grinder that has the capability to grind for french pressed coffee. We (I) have not found one that grinds the bean consistantly for our (her) coffee.
The Princess (My Beautiful Wife) has not been thrilled, to say it mildly, with our (my) effort thus far.
What have you had great luck with for french press grinds?

This is the grinder I use. I use an Aeropress and not a french press, but it does a fine grind and I have not noticed any inconsistency. My research when buying pointed towards burr grinders rather than blade grinders for a consistent grind.

Your best bet is a Baratza grinder. They have just introduced a very nice model called the Sette, but for french press, any of their models would work well.

Another vote for the grinder that CashFan posted. Simple to use, and easy to adjust how fine or coarse you need your beans.

I am not sure I would pay what SkySaw would for the the grinder in his post.

I have had a Baratza for many years - Virtuoso model.  Works well.  Consistent grind from espresso to French press.

Listen to these guys!  Baratza is the gold standard for coffee maker grinders and the Virtuoso is the gold of the gold.  Incredibly consistent particle size which is far and away the most important item in grinding coffee for drip or French press coffee making.  There are numerous coffee forums where people take this stuff as serious or more so than we do our BGE's and that's what is consistently endorsed.

If you want an espresso grinder, that's a whole different world with different criteria and a far higher price point......

In addition to the performance, I appreciate that the Baratza has some user serviceable parts inside. Three years ago, I opened it up to replace a part and also adjusted the grind speed.

Baratza Viruoso! Makes perfect coarser grind for French press.

I went down the espresso rabbit hole many years ago. This is a very nice all around grinder. Maybe overkill for you.

I'm sure the Bararza is a great grinder, but I've had the Cuisinart grinder for 10 years without any issues and it gets used a couple of times a week.
