I haven't gone too crazy yet..ordered a KAB, picked up cast iron half moon grates, tried to get smoke ware cap but apparently on back-order. Got a Lodge CI frying pan. The other day tho I was at my buddies garden center and he's got a new medium he's had for about a year and a new table its displayed in, and we started to chat a little about a good deal, and...well...all I can say is in a few weeks the wife will probably achieve lift off lol.

It could be worse.  You could be hooked on a BOAT (Bust Out Another Thousand).
Or even worse - you could have both an egg and a boat and play golf.

In cooking, often we implement steps for which we have no explanations other than ‘that’s what everybody else does’ or ‘that’s what I have been told.’  Dare to think for yourself.

    I started there.

Here is a slightly different way to look at it. You are doing all of this for the well being and to spend more family time together--not less. Many people go in the opposite direction. They eat out more, eat less healthy, spend less time together and know almost nothing about their neighbors. Eggs are almost a promise that none of this will happen---if you enjoy it. Or you are an extreme introvert. So really it's all good

It will get better. Once you have one of every eggsnd all of the accessories you'll be fine until they release a new model or until you decide to expand your collection to include the other smoker options people have on here. But don't worry once you own everything or run out of money you will stop buying.... At least I hope you do.

This is so true.  Once you get a few cooks under your belt you'll find...
    1.  You'll spend way more time at home cooking
    2.  You'll become an egg snob...and none of the food you taste at restaurants will not meet your satisfaction (since you can make it better).
    3.  Every upcoming holiday will be at your place cuz all of the relatives want your egg food!

In the last 3 years I've had my XL BGE, I've cooked more than I ever did the 30 years leading up to it.  I only wish I would have started this egg life craziness when my kids were little!?!

I've been egging for the last four years. So I get the "my food is better" thing. My point was I was content with my eggs and eggccessories...it's just this site got me interested in other products I wouldn't have even considered in the past. Which of course adds up...which of course is fine. If you wanna play you've got to pay (I'm learning).
