Which electric? If it is a first generation Masterbuilt they make a good cold smoker with a mailbox and an AMNPS

I would send it to someone who doesn't have anything better to cook on.

If it is a Masterbuilt they make a nice cold smoke attachment which I use with mine (2nd generation) digital for cold smoking . Works real good ,on a day that is 55-60 degrees out inside smoker stays maybe 5 degrees higher .You get smoke going in attachment and then shut off power and it feeds smoke with little heat .Never had luck with the AMNPS tray ,could not keep it running no matter what I did to pellets ,microwave and such .It just never worked for me . Bass pro has best price on attachment .

I've read that there is a product for the Masterbuilt Smoker in the US that allows you to keep your electric smoker's temperature rock solid at the actual grill temperature rather than the current 10c swings I get at the top of the smoker which can be 10-20c above the grill temp.

Does anyone know of a similar product that can be purchased in Australia as I've become a tad disenchanted with smoking with my Hark due to these wild swings and the massive discrepancy between the unit thermostat and the grill temp.

I imagine you can get ink bird controllers there … that would be my recommendation , your master built will plug into that , I use them on my curing chambers

I am about 90% sure @jonessteave is a bot.  It would be nice if @The_Buffalo would work his magic

I can't agree, even though I have been heard, so I liked.

Maybe that will become another acronym for this forum.  ICASIL

In the 60's I had an electric REDDY SMOKE 20 gallon drum smoker that did better with small things like chickens and pork butts than anything  thing I have had since.  Have tried CLOS offset/and BGE XL. Love the XL but would still love that REDDY SMOKE 20 Gal drum electric.    IF you like the electric you should keep it.   What erver you like is best for you.

I had a Little Chief smoker for many years, did the job. No indirect heating really piles on the smoke flavor, sometimes too much, but inexpensive. The BGE does it all, I use my Weber Kettle for smoking also
