Frozen brisket

I've been asked to cook a brisket for a family gathering. My problem is that my sister-in-law has already purchased the brisket and it is frozen. Is there a rule of thumb for the time required thawing frozen meat in the refrigerator?

3-5 days on average for a whole packer. I just put a 14lb in the fridge Friday night to cook next Friday night. A few extra days (or even weeks) thawed in the fridge is no problem.

Lucky for you-you get to enjoy the cook and someone else is paying the freight.  You must have this brisket cook down.  And as above regarding your question about thawing.  However long you plan add at least one day in the fridge.  The best cook you can enjoy on a BGE and great eats await.  Go forth and do great things.
Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. # 38 for the win.  Life is too short for light/lite beer!  Seems I'm livin in a transitional period.

Thanks for the feedback. Sister-in-law has found some on sale but her party isn't until June 11.

    Thanks Cen-Tex Smoker:
I thought about putting it in the swimming pool but it's getting too warm.
