Electric Fire Starter
Fire generally burns up. This stick is straight. So if you aren't actively watching it this happens. I am giving this idea away for free...well almost, I expect a few of them in the mail.
These should be be made with a 90* turn in them so it can rest on the edge of the grill without burning plastic. And the handle would never get hot. Does anyone know if one designed like this???

Don't have to depend on finding AC and can get up to temp fast if need be.
We lit pretty much every Egg with one at Butt Blast.

Good Lord, Matt!!! I use a MAPP torch and don't go through that much gas in a YEAR!! I'm guessing that egg got up to speed more quickly than mine.
I hate it when I go to the kitchen for food and all I find are ingredients!

I'm with Matt, I have never used any other method to light my egg--ever. I lit all the eggs at the Columbus eggfest before they found a long enough extension cord for the looflighter. I haven't found a good reason not to use it yet. It lights perfectly every time. In about a minute. I can light the center for L/S. Or the entire top of the egg in 3 minutes and go caveman. My neighbors are like pavlof's dogs. When my weedburner goes off they show up with coolers and more meat--they know what the plan is. I even got a text from a neighbors wife once asking nicely not to hit the trigger. The baby was sleeping in the bassinet in the back yard. All good, we lit up while idling. I would buy another one in a blink. Not even a question mark.Columbus, Ohio--A Gasser filled with Matchlight and an Ugly Drum.

Well, if you happen to be beside @JohnInCarolina minimax and @nolaegghead is lighting it with @tarheelmatt weed torch, take cover as the grease may go weapon grade and ignite all combustible fuel in the general vicinity. Don't ask how I know.

Weedburners are not for the feeble minded. Someone should have been on dutyColumbus, Ohio--A Gasser filled with Matchlight and an Ugly Drum.

I have one....use it all the time. No issues. I just don't stand it straight up and down. Been using them for 10-15 years.
