Mandolin slicer recommendations

I have the one you reference.  It is a good unit.  Made of plastic, but made in Germany.

This is what I use.  Safe and effective.  Dishwasher safe.

I throw up a bit in my mouth every time you put that pic up. Don't like the sight of blood unless it's coming  from something I intend to eat.

its more likely stained from 10,000 heads of purple cabbage but then again my grandmother may have used the purple for coleslaw to hide the blood

Does the borner v 7000 do real thin or is it just two settings of thickness?

Get the V7000, It has the adjustable thickness. I have the Red one. It's faster and you can't see if you nicked a finger.
