For the record, the egg don't care if it rains. You just get wet.

I picked up one of these at Mallwart on clearance for $80 or so. It's served me pretty well for three years now:

This is the kinda Nasty Weather I didn't want to be out in, much less not have something strapped down as a canopy.  I had just put my Canopy away from using at Soccer all weekend but short of cinder blocks it wouldnt have stayed put.

So far last 30 hours are about 4" of rain at my house with more coming

Thoughts and prayers to people in Houston again.  There is already severe flooding with more rain coming.  In Victoria, we are forecasted for 3-8" depending on the area.   The first wave of storms when North of us, so the San Antonio and Guadelupe rivers already have flood warnings.

Who told you that you can't Egg in the rain?  This was an 18 hour brisket that wasn't ready yet.  Turned out fine.

We would all happily retrieve a nice brisket in the rain.  But man, with the downpours we had here yesterday, no way I'm going to try to start a fire.  Had to drain my pool twice yesterday...and I'm guessing you all got it much worse last night and today.  Stay high and dry down there.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR ATTENTION TO THIS MATTER

We got 7" of rain here so far, but some places in Houston got 16" in 24 hours according to the news.  The photo above was taken over 12 years ago if memory serves me.  It was definitely before I built the Coop so I could cook under a roof.

For the record, I did get an Egg cook in during this high humidity period.  Granted, StealthiMax is pretty weather protected on my apartment patio.
