Extended family arriving this afternoon for supper in celebration of the Prince's 18th trip around the Sun. What does he want? Ribs and pulled pork of course. And all the fixins (cornbread, deviled eggs, slaw, tater salad). Raised right, right?

Rub, mustard, rub. On the egg for 3 hrs kinda to set the rub. (Not sure why I did that. Was worried about all the sugar in the preserves getting bitter, but over 15 hrs, not sure what I did made sense). Then preserves. It stalled at 156 for a while and now it seems stalled at 181. 3-2-1 ribs underneath. And it smells crazy good around here.It's a 302 thing . . .
