So we're headed to lacrosse yesterday and discussing butt blast menu and I mention a bacon weave which leads to the following:

J: what you need is a double bacon weave with cheese between the layers.

Me: I think the inside layer wouldn't cook well. It'd be chewy. ( that's fine by him, he likes chewy bacon, but knows he's weird like that)

J:  what about a bacon weave  with cheese rolled up like a burrito?

Me:  what about a double bacon weave flat with cheese in between like a grilled cheese?

J:  what you really need is a patty in between...

which leads me to....

Bacon weave buns for smash burgers!  Boo Yow!

so we immediately text mom to put some of our home ground beef in the fridge to thaw and stop by the store on the way home for bacon.

The process:

bacon weaves about bread size fried up on the blackstone, thus the OT

Then melt some cheese for redneck meat glue to hold together in case they're crumbly.

2 oz patties smashed way down for a good crust.

These me were tasty, but really heavy. If you have a cardiologist in your life, move on.

Edit: this is the same kid that thought deep fried pancake encrusted bacon was a good idea. It was.
