Raffle Giveaways Eggs

Maybe its just me but I have seen so many eggs for sale that were won through a raffle or some sort of giveaway, sometimes priced reasonably, other times they ask full retail or more. Why can't I have 1 of those eggs for free?!?!? Guess im just tired of seeing them in the wrong hands. 1 guy tried to sell me a primo he won through a raffle for almost $2,000 saying it was a deal, ha!

I have no luck in those types of drawings. I had no cash on me last year for a $20 ticket to win a large BGE at a rib compeition but my wife did. My wife wasn't so sure that she wanted to spend the $20 on a raffle ticket. After a few seconds of thinking about it she exchanged the $20 for a raffle ticket. She hands me the ticket to sign my name. "Whoa, I'm not signing that. I never win. You sign your name on it. Your way more lucky than me." So 3-4 hours later I hear my wife's name being called out over a speaker system. Next thing I know she's jumping up and down and going over to the person with the microphone. (I didn't hear the announcement that they were drawing for the large BGE) I honestly more less forgot we entered in the raffle. Next thing I know she won an egg. 1 year later I still hear how she won an egg and that it's hers and not mine!!! My neighbors won $180,000,000 playing the lottery, my wife wins an egg, and my big prize......I won an outdoor light set playing bingo when I was 10. Man some people are just more lucky than others...

Someone I know won a large with nest and accessories package at an event a couple of years ago and he said he did not have a way to bring it home, so he gave it away, brand new right there in the boxes. Yes, gave it away. Gave it away...so it was given away twice in one day.

When I was 11 I was the lucky caller on a local radio giveaway.  I won a set of spark plugs.

At my kids school they raffled a large. One of the parent's won it. He was president of the country club so he donated it to the club for them to auction.

A local bank won the egg at the country club auction. They turned around and donated it right back to the club. The club then had a private auction among the members.

    I was the high bidder!

The first egg I ever had I won through a Knob Creek bourbon giveaway on Facebook. I won a small and sold it for $500. Used that money to buy the large that I have now. I have been around eggs for a long time so I would have eventually gotten one, but probably not as soon as I did since I won the small. Needless to say I was beside myself when I learned I had won an egg.
