Looking for a new good tasting hot sauce

  • Sorry to say that if you feel the Tabasco has decent taste, you need to see a physician. You may have a neurological issue that is affecting your taste buds.

I used to feel that way until I went to Avery Island after the Breaux Bridge crawfish festival.
I'm aware that there is a great historical backstory, but it's crap.

Not my point at all. When you drive out to the island there is a faint scent in the air and as you get closer to the plant it gets stronger and stronger until you really want some. I don't love it and it's about 101 on my favourites list but I don't get peed off when I have to use it on my eggs in a restaurant.

@Little Steven -  dang!  Yes, a few weeks ago I made a road trip to visit some friends (I have more than one) in Texas, a brisket trip to Austin and on the way a destination stop at Tabasco on Avery Island.  (See prior posts).  The tour needs work but one of those " had to do it" stops and glad I did. Quite a place in total.
Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. # 38 for the win.  Life is too short for light/lite beer!  Seems I'm livin in a transitional period.
