Why buy it when you can build it?

So for the last two years I have been using a propane torch to start my egg, and recently I have been looking at some of the electric lighters that also blow air to get the lump going faster, and I came.up with this. Its a pretty good proof of concept for me, I plan to eventually look into finding a way to make it run on Milwaukee m12 batteries which I already have, and it would also cut down on weight and be recharageable. Another thing I would like to do is move the switch from the fan to the handle of the torch to make it easier to control. What do y'all think?

Very cool concept!  If I tried doing anything like that, I'd prolly blow my arms off.  lol  Be careful!

There are many reasons why I buy and not build. Duct tape, propane torches and batteries, have never ended well for me.
Looks like a real deal there, pretty cool I must say.
I will just stick to lighting a paper towel soaked in cooking oil. Way cheaper, and, so far, no fingers lost, yet.

Maybe, but the paperclip and ball point pen tube are missing from the prototype haha.

Its not that I hate the ducktape, but does anyone have any ideas on how to contain everything better? I'm thinking of hiding the blower under the propane tank inside of some PVC pipe. Also any ideas on how to attach the tubes together better with the addition of two wires for the fan switch in the torch head? I was thinking of some sort of wire loom, but I would want something that could take a little bit of heat.
