Not to give away secrets, but it was done most likely with a plasma cutter attached to a circle cutter.

Nice clean look. I can appreciate the SS benefits when modified to home an egg or cooker. You'll enjoy this for years to come too.LBGE 2013 & MM 2014Die Hard HUSKER & BRONCO FANFlying Low & Slow in "Da Burg" FL

@blasting The hole can be cut w/ a grinder, plasma torch by a steady free hand or CNC or water jet cutter. Mine was w/ CNC plasma and then miniscule buffing.

Don't forget a near sited guy with a saws all...
I think for one-offs most shops would reach for the plasma cutter, but as with most projects, lots of ways to skin a cat.

Jig saw will work too. I would reach for my plasma cutter.

I would just use my bare hands for a one off table, but that is me. You guys use all your sissy tools.
Btw, awesome looking table!Maybe your purpose in life is only to serve as an example for others? - LPL

Any details on the prep table? I'd like to purchase the same one and have a hole cut. Did you have to reinforce the lower shelf? If so, how?

picked it up off craigslist. no I didn't reinforce it. It had three cross braces on I just missed cutting two of them out.LG. BGE Straight up Cheese head from Little Chute, WI

If you two could be the brother team equivalent to @jeepster47 and @ozzie_isaac father son duo, this place just got that much better.

@theyolksonyou ... Hey you carpetbagger, stop picking on folks. Besides, all those Extra-Northern boys are a little ornery this time of the year ... snow and ice does it. Something like 8~12" in the Northern part of the lower Peninsula of Michigan is predicted ... man would that frost your stainless (see, I can stay on topic)!
