Nice score!!
Don't tell your problems to people. 80% of people don't care and 20% are glad you have them.

Lol I've been jumping food lion to food lion and one was out so I got a raincheck from That store.

How ya doin Ozzie?

That's a good deal but also a lot pork shoulders to cook. In my area pork butts typically go on sale about every 2-3 weeks from the various grocery stores for about $1.49 and pork shoulders a little less than that. Since I don't have a separate freezer, I am stuck buying when on sale.

I would buy half as much and get the good stuff from a butcher or restaurant depot. Smithfield is pretty bottom of the barrel pork.
-
The butcher shops around here charge way to much for pork. I did a Smithfield butt last weekend turned out great. I bought the leanest ones I could find.
-
Dammit! I bought one 9# butt at FL tonight for 2.29!

Nice @Renegaderam ! I only picked one up, but I should've gotten more. FWIW, I've never ever had a problem with Smithfield butts or shoulders either. They have always turned out just fine.
