How to change avatars?

hey guys jealous of some of the avatars vs the corny smiley face ... Any hints how to change ?

just an FYI I'm concerned is futile... I still can't figure out how to post pics... And I've been following the guidelines of other members

    Click on your user name under the "My Profile" heading.  Then select "edit profile".  On the left you will see an option to change picture.  Follow the prompts to download a new pic.

    I don't have that option when I click edit my profile :/

    it has a place for my email address and username here ...
    no link or option to change the avetar

    Goto profile and then hover over your picture you will see change picture show up click it and change your pic

    You can not do it if you are in "Mobil" view. You have to be in "full" view. I know this to be at least true on the iPhone 5. It's easier for me to do it from a computer. I'm talking about changing your avatar, not about posting pics to the forum.

    My pleasure. Also for the record, something changed many months back and I can no longer use "Full" view on the iPhone 5. I have to use my lap top.

    Actually on the mobile site if ypu click on your name you can then click on your current avatar and "change picture" will appear.  Click on that and you can upload a new pic.

    @SGH -good deal.  Another tip on the iphone to get the full site. 

    Press and hold the refresh button (you have to hold a second or two). 

    Tap Refresh Button in Safari on iOS 9

    ...then you will see a "Request Desktop Site" button.
    Tap on Request Desktop Site in iOS 9 Safari

    How to change avatar:

    1. steal picture of hot chick off web with skimpy t-shirt
    2. use paintbrush or photoshop to add your handle to t-shirt.  Try to follow the "contours" if you catch my drift.  Extra points for realism.
    3. get mad at the forum for some infantile reason, change avatar to new picture as outlined earlier in this thread using doctored hot chick photo.
