I feel left out. I never find anything in my lump bags. I only use RO and I never find anything cool... no metal, no rocks, no dead cowboys, nothing! But I've only been using it for 5-6 years. Maybe some day.....

I'm surprised the electrical tape made it through the carbonization process, but then again, I don't know much about the process.  I'm glad you didn't cut yourself! Sometimes I reach in a bag blind and grab a few coals for the mini.  Gonna rethink that now.

After seeing this I will be continuing the way I have been dealing with lump... I put the bag on a table and slit it open down the center of the top and pick out all the gigantic chunks. I then pick up the rest. When I get down to all the,finest I sift it thru a bucket with holes

The feed stores here have a knife that looks like that hanging by the bag sewer. It's used to cut the string after sticking the bags shut.
