    Alberta, Canada...

    Woke up yesterday to -23C.
    Today on my deck, +10C.

    Gotta love chinooks...

(Or as Leonardo DiCaprio calls it..."climate change, I experienced climate change first hand).

Quoted after filming The Revenant, which was filmed close to where I live.

    Moron.
    Have you seen the movie?
Not yet.  Heard that the grizzly scene is pretty intense.   Many say it's a pretty good flick, too bad the lead is another "gotta find a cause" DB.

Funny enough, after he stood in front of an audience talking climate change (I'm sure his handlers quickly realized his mistaking an Alberta chinook wind for something it was not...), he quickly turned tail and switched to "indigenous rights".

Oddly enough, there are a few questions as to how indigenous people are portrayed in the film (no one of stature, no indigenous leads, and only stereotypical bit-characters)...and why there aren't more of them represented in the film.

May have to find yet another soap box....

    check list....

    baby seals - taken
    wolves - taken
    oil sands -taken
    pipeline -taken
    whales -taken
    Dali Lama - taken

Save the whooping crane doesn't have the punch Leo needs when accepting awards and accolades!  What to do...what to do...

Actually it was cold here too, until the rain started anyway.  Now it's in the 50's.  Maybe 2016 will be less droughty...lol

MBW and I went. I loved the scenery in the movie. It was pretty intense, in a couple of spots. Was not overwhelmed, I expected a lot more for over 2 and half hours.
