The only thing that kind of sucks about it is the overtime rules. Would have been nice to see the Packers get a possession too.
This is big boy football unlike college. #defensematters
Of course defense matters. I still don't like the toss of a half dollar having such a big impact on the game, even when a ref does it right the first time. You're talking to a Bears fan, who also had a couple shekels on Arizona. The last thing I wanted was the Packers to have the ball again.

Guess I'm partial to old time football when I was a kid living in the Bronx and sneaking into the Yankee Stadium to watch the NY Giants play with YA Tittle as quarter back ,Alex Webster,Frank Gifford,Sam Huff,Andy Robustelli .That was down and dirty Football .We saw some of the best football for nothing and sometimes with 50 yard line front row seats .Back then the officials did not decide the game it was down and dirty ,as it should be . A dime on the IND subway two stops down and we were in football heaven .Most money we spent to see football was for the Di Nobili cigars for the game .

    Very cool story.
I remember seeing an image of Y.A.T. On the field, towards the end of his career, battered, bloody and helmetless raised to his knees. He was struggling to get up for one more play, but had not realized time had run out. It was one of the most iconic images of the old NFL.
The game has evolved. Perhaps not to the liking of the purists. I thought a comment made by Chris Collingsworth, at the end of the game summed it up, with something along the lines of it is more like reality tv. It has been changed for entertainment, not the game.

I do agree with the earlier comments that the catch rule needs to overhauled. I'm sure Dez agrees too

Not taking anything away from Fitzgerald, don't get me wrong. He had an amazing game!  That play at the end was propped up by poor tackling by the Packers. He should not have been left alone - Peppers made the decision to go after Palmer when the play broke down. Guess he chose poorly. Great call on the shovel pass! And totally agree that pack should've gone for two. Would've taken some serious stones!

What's the most you ever lost on a coin toss?
    Bingo @Mosca.

A coin toss is fine to determine who starts a 60 minute game (or who starts OT.)

But if you're still even after all 60 minutes, each team should get at least 1 chance with the ball.

Otherwise, we're back to your profound question...
